In Lower Silesia, the holidays have just begun. Wrocław is the best place to spend a winter holiday in it. See Wroclaw offers for free time.

Wrocław's offer of tourist attractions, cultural and educational during the holidays is so rich that a 14-day vacation can turn out to be too krótku for everyone to take advantage of. Below are some selected:


The National Museum in Wroclaw is one of the largest and most important art museums in Poland. It was established in 1947 as the State Museum, and it was solemnly made available to the public on July 11, 1948.

30.01, g. 12:00 i 14:00 — Winter creations

Art fun for children aged 6-12 as part of the series "Holidays at the Museum". Host: Barbara Przerwa.
When the winter begins, we are happy to dress warmer and wrap our scarfs. At the exhibition of artistic craft "Cudo-Twórcy" you can admire very interesting exhibits knitted from woolen yarn. There is a scarf with a lion's head and a sweater with decorations referring to the paintings of the famous artist Pablo Picasso.
Using colorful reproductions, wool, tapes and tissue paper, children will design winter creations.

1.02, g. 12:00 i 14:00 — Fox hunting
Educational game for children aged 6-12 as part of the cycle "Holidays at the Museum". Hosted by: Sławomir Ortyl.
The host will talk about a fox who has lived in his home for some time, and will track down the foxes that are in the museum with the participants. It will turn out that the hunt in which children take part is not a hunt to get a fox fur, but the knowledge of these beautiful animals!

6.02, g. 12:00 i 14:00 — Winter dinners and desserts

What was eaten in old Poland in the winter in an urban house, a peasant's cottage or a noble mansion? Which dishes and cutlery were used and on which cookers were they cooked? A small culinary surprise is foreseen for small gourmets.

8.02, g. 12:00 i 14:00 — Winter concerts. In the world of instruments and playing machines
Classes for children aged 6-12 as part of the cycle "Holidays at the Museum". Hosted by: Michał Pieczka.
In winter evenings there is nothing more pleasant than making music together. During the meeting, the children will see various musical instruments and playing machines at the Miracle-Creator exhibition, as well as try to extract some sounds from some of them. Oh, it will be happening!

Pavilion of the Four Domes - a pavilion built at the beginning of the 20th century on the exhibition grounds in the eastern part of Wrocław. The Centennial Exhibition, planned for the centenary of the battle of Prussia in Leipzig, was part of the commemoration commemorating the rise of the Prussian state in Europe.

Workshops for children aged 9-12 as part of the "Holidays in the Pavilion" series. Host: Iwona Gołaj.
Are we freezing when we look at the blue spot? What does it mean that the color is cold and does the warmth actually warm us up? We'll turn the circle of colors and see! We invite you to learn about the colors combined with the art workshop. Together, we will also visit the temporary exhibition "Krakow Group 1932-1937".

Workshops for children aged 9-12 as part of the "Holidays in the Pavilion" series. Hosted by: Justyna Oleksy.
What if you spend the morning in a museum and get to know characters from the paintings? Maybe one of them will manage to be friends? The Four Dome Pavilion invites to classes during the holidays at the temporary exhibition "Krakow Group 1932-1937".

5.02, g. 11:00 — We play shapes
Workshops for children aged 9-12 as part of the "Holidays in the Pavilion" series. Hosted by: Agata Iżykowska-Uszczyk.
Vacation is a good time to let your imagination run wild. Do you know this shape? Man or animal? Or maybe not one or the other? Abstract art leaves a huge field for fantasy. We invite you to the imagination workshop to the Four Domes Pavilion.

Racławicka Panorama - an art museum in Wrocław, a branch of the National Museum in Wrocław, founded in 1893 in Lviv, from 1980 in Wrocław; exposes the cyclical image of the Battle of Racławice painted in 1893-1894 by a team of painters led by Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak.

31.01 i 7.02, g. 9:15 — Holidays with Panorama RacławickaEducational game for children aged 6-12. Hosted by: Izabela Trembałowicz-Chęć.

After a short introduction in Mała Rotunda, we will go to the viewing platform to see the work of Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak. We will find out who else participated in the creation of the painting, how the artists shared their work and how much time they took, how to watch the unique picture which is a panorama, we will see what the staffage is and what it is made of

Traditionally, Wroclaw ZOO invites you to a unique "EXOTIC MEETING", which take place through all the winter holidays (except Saturday and Sunday). Can take part in them literally everyone who has finished 5 years-families with children and persons

During a 2-hour walk in the African ocean, participants will have a unique opportunity to meet with the guardians of sharks, hippos, seals, penguins or manats.

How many fish live in the Red Sea's reservoir? What mass of body has Rumba achieved? Is the stingray and shark a close cousin? What kind of caring treatment Stefan turtle willingly gives up? How to distinguish Gumle from his brother Armstrong? These and many other questions are happy to be answered by animal keepers, sharing stories from the daily life of their wards.

The Pan Tadeusz Museum is the latest and most modern part of the Ossolineum, presenting the collection of the Department on a rich historical and literary background. It has been functioning since May 2016 in one of the most beautiful tenement houses in Wrocław - Under the Golden Sun (Rynek 6).

Above the entrance of the tenement house stands a symbol from which she took her name - the Golden Sun. Once, the greatest guests lived here, now it is the home of the Pan Tadeusz Museum. All those who would like to get to know the symbol of the tenement should come to the meeting. During the course you will be able to explore the history of the building, find out what is hiding today and experiment with the light.

Wandering around an unusual house, during which you will move into a distant past. You will "see" the era when the kings lived with the houses and their courts. You will discover secret passages, decipher puzzles on wooden ceilings and find out why the building is shining. In the workshop part you will be able to make solar magnets.

Museum Shadow Theater "under the Golden Sun"

During classes at the museum exhibition in Kamienica under the Golden Sun, you will go on a journey in search of the shadow. You will be looking for it between showcases, in paintings, in corridors and among exhibits. Or maybe he hid in the elevator? When the shadow is found, we will use it in a theater performance, which will be prepared jointly by all and exhibited in the Museum's Shadow Theater.

Fun with the sun

Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue? Or what are the clouds? And is the sun really yellow? At the meeting you will experiment and like a real museum scientist you will find all the answers. We will make our own kaleidoscope to commemorate the experiments.

Sunny images in shades of blue

By placing objects on special paper and exposing it to sunlight, the pioneers of the photograph obtained blue images, called cyanotypes. During classes, using the sun and solar lamps, you will learn to create unique compositions on paper. Each participant will come out with ready-to-frame, one of a kind, works of art.

Classes for children aged 6-12.
